As a second generation craftsman, I have learned to value the customer and
provide the best service possible for a reasonable price. My father, who was
also a painter, learned the craft by experienced craftsmen that had been in
business since the 1940's. He encouraged the company to hire me and in turn

the name to Cougar Valley Painting & Home Repair in 2005 because our
customers wanted us to add extra services beyond painting alone.
Why Cougar Valley? We selected a name that would not lose sight of our
beginnings. According to the Division of Wildlife, a Cougar goes by many
different names including; catamount, mountain lion, panther, puma & the
native Americans called them painters. Thus we selected the Cougar because
of the different names(tasks) , and as its name implies, painter.
